Glusteri (Γλυστέρι)

Day four we went to the only beach that was perhaps as close to Skopelos, definitely as empty... and certainly gorgeous!

Looking at the map of Skopelos this is problably the tightest bay of the island.. and perhaps even of any island.. we are talking miniscule... the only civilisation around was a taverna. A good one too! Once we got to the dessert we realised what every Thessalonikean dreams of making out of the Skopelitiki Pita... a skopelitiki mpougatsa!

The night found us there and the scenery was getting better by the minute... well until of course it was too dark.. and the scenery became... well... invisible...

Praise to the accommodation

I think it's worth mentioning that the accommodation was remarkable as it was both close to the city centre of Skopelos, without being slam bang in the middle of it and had the most amazing garden... so I wore my agro-tourist hat and the daughter-of-a-horticulturist on top of that and I started taking pictures! OK perhaps I took one too many... so what!

Look how pretty these are

OK enough with that now...

Milia (Μηλιά)... words just aren't enough

Day three, we visited the most beautiful beach. A wide bay with a few rocks spread in the sea and a round green island Dhasia (Δασιά) overlooking the beach.

This place is so damn pretty we had to go back!

Limnonari (the one in the South)

Day two we had to avoid the windy conditions so we went to Limnonari, one of the two bays with the same name in Skopelos... it was very picturesque, the beach/pool bar was a bit loud... so were some of our "towel neighbours"... we got a lot of sun...

Except for being loud our "neighbours" also managed to snick into a few photos, so please accept my apologies as the next picture is not as natural as the rest... an annoyingly loud guy has been digitally removed...

As pretty as it gets... Stafulos

Day one... a short one! As sunny as it might look the heavens opened just a few hours after these pictures were taken... just imagine that by the time we spread our towels on the beach the sun had already gone!

We had only arrived earlier in the afternoon, that same day so we hid in a cosy restaurant and stayed there for a good 4 hours with nice food and fantastic white wine!
